The collection and recycling of batteries diverts this valuable but also hazardous resource away from the water table where heavy metals such as lead and cadmium and sulfuric acid pollutants are recycled in a manner that complies with environmental laws, regulations and ecologically sound.

Watt’s batteries recognise this responsibility and is committed to best practises, working with relevant government departments and contributing to the development of policies and legislations to improve the industry.

Watt’s Batteries is a member of an organisation that is devoted to the product stewardship of batteries the Australian Battery Recycling Initiative ABRI. Watt’s Batteries employees are educated in their responsibilities to the environment and are trained to apply the appropriate accountability, monitor and implementation of these environmental practices to protect the environment.

In the conduct of our business we take into account potential harmful impacts on the environment and put safe guards in place to avert these risks.
